Twenty years later, citizens across America pause and unite to honor those who have died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. On the morning of September 11th, 2001, Hijackers crashed two airplanes into the World Trade Centers in New York City, a third plane crashed into the Pentagon in Virginia, and the fourth crashed into a field in rural Shanksville, Pennsylvania. President Biden has visited every site impacted by the hits of the planes and ceremonies were held across the nation remembering the 2,977 lives lost to the attacks.
