Andrew Tate Update

By: Emma Simon

Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested on the 29th of December on charges of human trafficking, rape and organize crime after being the center of a criminal investigation in Romania since April 2022. Next week, the brothers are expected to appear in court to have their appeals heard against a judge’s decision to extend their arrest warrants from 24 hours to 30 days.

However, the most recent news of their arrest has to do with the Tate brothers’ car collection. On Thursday, another four cars were collected, bringing the total number of luxury cars seized to eleven, with at least seven of these cars registered under the Tate brothers. Additionally, at least ten properties of land owned by companies registered to Andrew and Tristan Tate have been seized. According to Ramona Bolla, a spokesperson for Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (Diicot), Diicot will use the properties to pay for the investigation and the damages to victims if the brothers are convicted.
