Russia/Ukraine War: Russian Army retreats

The ongoing Russo-Ukrainian conflict has in essence ‘died-down’ as Russia has retreated from Kyiv. Although this may be a sign towards peace and success for anti-war, it can also be seen to be a military occupation tactic. Russia’s retreat may be a cover for a different motive.

The retreat from the North of Ukraine in Kyiv, left the people of North Ukraine in nothing but rubble as the troops destroyed their city and homes. However, this can cause trouble for another part of Ukraine as Russia’s forces focus their campaign and regroup in the South of Ukraine, the Donbas region and the Southern Coastline.

As of recently, it can be noted that Ukrainian forces are trying their absolute hardest to fight against the incoming Russian forces around Sevastopol, Crimea. A Russian Warship was seen to be severely damaged with different claims of the cause of destruction. Maxim Marchenko, the He’d of Odessa’s Military forces mentioned that the ship was struck down by Ukrainian forces with anti-ship Neptune missiles. Showing the growing impact of Ukrainian forces.

In terms of Lifestyle at the moment in Ukraine, there have been Investigators in and out of Ukraine from International security organisations, where they have said that it was clear that human rights of civilians were being violated by the Russian forces. Seemingly stripping innocent citizens of their antonymous rationality. “Violations” in this sense are mentionable crimes such as rape, abduction and attacks on civilian targets.

Considering International involvement, the United States continues to debate whether it is possible to send a high-level official to Kyiv, as a sign of solidarity and support, this is followed by Presidential visits to neighbouring countries of Ukraine. However, this does not seem probable as no American has visited Ukraine since the launch of the invasion in February. The United States therefore, are demanding to find new and better ways to assist Ukraine against the coming attacks.
