Queen Elizabeth II has died

Queen Elizabeth II, the longest serving British monarch, has died at age 96, according to Buckingham Palace. Her death ends an over 70 year long reign, where she weathered war, and became one of the most recognized women in the world. Her eldest son, Charles III, immediately became the King of the United Kingdom after her death earlier this morning.
